Summary
A studio photograph of an eleven-month old baby Charles Hext Cotesworth, born 20th June 1879, sitting on a white fur rug taken at the same time as 890099.45. He is wearing a white fur bonnet, pale dress and lined cape trimmed with fur. Contained in a faded black leather bound album, embossed in diamond pattern with gold tooling and with brass clasp.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The album is thought to have belonged to Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, containing family photographs.
