Summary
A photograph of a large quad/courtyard surrounded on the three visible sides by two-storey crenallated buildings with central five-storey tower, the Clock Tower at Eton College. On the right in foreground is a flight of steps leading up to the chapel, and in the centre of the courtyard is a statue of King Henry VI, surrounded by railings. Contained in an olive green Kodak photograph album containing family photographs, c.1898
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave the house to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there until his death.
