Oil painting on canvas (oval), Thomas I Hunt of Mollington (b. 1645), Cheshire, English School, 18th century after late 17th century; wears a brown gown and lace cravat with lace ruffles, a book in his left hand. Coat of arms painted to the left of his head inscribed under coat of arms, natus 1645.

By descent, through the marriage of Thomas II Hunt with Mary Vere Robartes in 1719; acquired by Victor, 8th Viscount Clifden (1887 – 1974), and given to the National Trust in 1957
