Oil painting on canvas, Colonel Thomas Hunt, MP (1599-1669), English School, circa 1650. A half-length portrait of George Hunt of Lanhydrock's great grandfather, wearing black dress and cap and white lawn collar, to right, head facing. He was a rigid Puritan and merchant of Shrewsbury and great-great-grandfather of George Hunt of Lanhydrock.

By descent until given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
