Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Young Man, attributed to Charles Jervas (Dublin 1675 – London 1739), circa 1720/30. A bust-length portrait of a youth in a painted oval, turned to the left, facing back to the viewer. The sitter was previously thought to be either Russell Robartes (d.1718) or John Robartes (1658-1774), brothers of the 2nd Earl of Radnor. He has a long wig and wears a brown coat with a white stock.

by descent, until given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
