Summary
Oil painting on canvas, George Hunt MP (1720?-1798), as a child by Michael Dahl (Stockholm 1656 – London 1743), circa 1725. A three-quarter-length portrait of Thomas Hunt II and Mary Vere Robartes' eldest son, aged 4 years. He is standing, facing forwards, his right arm resting on a table on which is a red squirrel. He wears a white frock and a long blue cloak.
Provenance
By inheritance, through the sitter's niece, Anna Maria Hunt, wife of Charles Bagenal-Agar, until given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
