Summary
Oil painting on canvas (oval), Lady Mary Booth, later Countess of Stamford (1704 -1772) signed and dated lower right (almost invisible): T. Murray pinxit / 1717. An oval portrait, half length, slightly right of the daughter of the 2nd Earl of Warrington with her head facing and a lock of hair over her left shoulder. She is wearing a white shift and blue and brown stoles.
Provenance
By inheritance, through the sitter's aunt, Lady Mary Robartes; given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
