Summary
Oil painting on canvas (circular), Inscribed as the Hon. Henry Booth (1687 - 1726), but more probably the Hon. Langham Booth (1684 - 1724), Matthew Ashton (fl.1718 - 1728), circa 1715/20, inscribed lower left in white ink, Honble Henry Booth. An oval portrait of a gentleman with his shoulders slightly right, head left, wearing brown coat, white stock and long wig. A pair with NT 884922.

Listed in 1885 after the fire at Lanhydrock in 1881; by inheritance, through the marriage of the sitter's sister, Lady Mary Booth, with the Hon. Russell Robartes (d.1718); given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
