Oil painting on canvas, John Poulett, 1st Earl Poulett, KG, PC, FRS (1663-1743), English School, circa 1750. A three-quarter length posthumous portrait of 1st Earl of Poulett, facing, in Garter robes, the staff of Lord Steward of the Household in his right hand. He is the father of Lady Catherine Parker.
Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury in part payment of death-duties from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker, 4th Earl of Morley (1877-1951) and transferred to the National Trust in 1957
