Summary
Oil painting on canvas, 'Saltram' by John Nost Sartorius (London 1759-1828), signed and dated: JN Sartorius pinxit. 1783. A stable boy holding a brown horse, in profile to the left in a landscape. Owned by John II Parker, 'Saltram' was sired by 'Eclipse' and was the winner of the Derby in 1783, the year that the picture was painted.
