Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Colonel Alban Thomas Jones Gwynne (1784-1861) by Mather Brown (Boston 1761 – Twickenham 1831), circa 1810. A half-length portrait of a young man, the Reverend Alban Thomas Gwynne's son by his first marriage, and husband of Mary Anne Vevers, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, dark brown hair with sideburns, dark brown coat with high collar and cut at waist to revealing yellow waistcoat. He also wears a white shirt.
