A half-length portrait of a young woman, the Reverend Alban Thomas Gwynne's daughter in law, seated, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a white empire-line dress with long sleeves and small frilled collar, her Paisley shawl is draped on the arm of her chair. Her dark hair is parted in the centre. Interior setting.
Purchased by the National Trust after the death of Patrick Gwynne (1913-2003)
