Oil painting on canvas, Mary Anne Vevers, Mrs Alban Thomas Jones Gwynne (1781-1837) by Mather Brown (Boston 1761 – Twickenham 1831). Half-length portrait of a young woman, seated, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a white empire-line dress with long sleeves and small frilled collar, her Paisley shawl is draped on the arm of her chair. Her dark hair is parted in the centre. Interior setting. (Rev Alban Thomas Gwynne's daughter in law, 1781-1837)
