Oil painting on canvas, Frederick William John Hervey 2nd Marquess of Bristol, PC, FSA, MP (1800-1864) by Sir George Hayter RA (London 1792 – London 1871), signed on reverse: on note stuck on back: George Hayter 'The Rt Hon'ble Earl Jermyn, MP for Bury St. Edmunds. Study for my great picture of 'The House of Commons [NPG] in 1833, 1837. A half-length portrait of a man, left profile wearing a dark brown brown coat, grey waistcoat, high white collar, brown necktie; dark hair, fair complexion; grey-brown background.
