Lime plaster and lath

Plasterwork ceiling. Plasterwork ceiling featuring swags and ribbed decoration simulating a medieval tent. Believed to date from mid-18th Century. Central ellipse has four diamond panels with 4No. floral paterae arranged in parallel lines with moulded trefoil panels. Ceiling has 8No ogee drops with similar decoration truncating in acanthus corbels.
