Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Thomas Wolryche, British (English) School, circa 1670. A three-quarter length portrait, of a young man, seated, turned slightly to right, in a library, wearing a large brimmed hat, black cloak and silver chain com;posed of rosettes, smoking a churchwarden's pipe held in his right hand, his elbow resting on a table on which there is a also a book. His left foot rests on his right knee, showing a laced high-heeled shoe.
