Arthur Hussey travelled to India in the last part of the 19th century with the British Expeditionary Force and was away from Scotney and his family for years at a time. He kept up with family life through letters, and his most reliable correspondent was his sister Gertrude.
A bundle of letters from Arthur Hussey to his sister Gertrude, tied with a pink cotton ribbon. Dating between 1887 and 1890 and sent from India.
Part of the Hussey Collection. The contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 2006 by Mrs Elizabeth Hussey.
