Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Thomas Hussey II (1722-1779), British (English) School, circa 1730-1735. A three-quarter-length portrait of a young boy, turned slightly to the right, head inclined slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, in a grey-brown coat, embroidered silver waistcoat and white ruffles, with his left hand on a cane with a red ribbon, and a red squirrel eating a nut on his right hand, in a landscape with a distant view of trees and sky to the left. One of a set of six pictures by the same artist, of Thomas Hussey I, his wife H. Frances Lake, and their four children- Thomas Hussey II, John Hussey, Edward Hussey and Frances Hussey.
