Summary
A walnut firescreen, English circa 1860. The rectangular needlework panel depicting a floral bouquet, flanked by spiral-twist uprights with finials, the crest rail centred with a cartouche carved with the initials 'hsh' for Henrietta Sarah Hussey, standing on scroll-carved arched feet joined by a spiral-twist cross-stretcher. Henrietta Sarah Windsor-Clive (1820-99) married Edward Hussey on 24 November 1853.
Provenance
Part of the Hussey collection. The contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 2006 by Mrs. Elizabeth Hussey.
