Summary
Mahogany scroll-ended settee with caned seat, back and side panels with black horsehair covered seat squab and bolsters standing on carved and turned legs with brass castors, 1800-1820. Stamps and label showing formerly Royal Collection, Windsor Castle.
Provenance
Supplied to the Royal Wardrobe, stamped with inventory mark from reign of George IV; 1866 Inventory of Windsor Castle, Room 52: Bedroom of Lady Barrington, from 1871 bedroom of Marchioness of Ely, placed in store (Room 12) before disposal from Royal Collection; Derek Sherborn by whom bequested to the National Trust, 2004.
