Oil painting on canvas, Maria Anna of Hapsburg, Infanta of Spain, Archduchess of Austria and later Holy Roman Empress and Queen of Hungary (1606-1646) by Juan Pantoja de la Cruz (Madrid 1554 – Madrid 1608) or Bartolomé González (Valladolid 1564 – Madrid 1627), circa 1608/10. Full-length portrait of a young child, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, standing, wearing a richly embroidered white dress, with red and silver brocade sleeves and a jewelled brooch in the form of the letter M, stroking a small monkey with her right hand on a crimson covered table at the left; a handkerchief in her left hand; window top left. Second daughter of King Philip III of Spain.
