Summary
Gilt bronze with gemstone inlay, Akshobhya Buddha with attendant Bodhisattvas, probably 19th century, probably Nepalese/Himalayan Buddhist. A bronze triad with separately cast Akshobhya Buddha at centre, flanked at left and right by Bodhisattvas. The figures are seated on lotus thrones and mounted on a plinth. The separately cast detachable back plate is in the form of a foliate and floral arch inlaid with red gemstones.
