Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Two Small Boys Singing, British School, first half of the 19th century. Two children stand half-length one behind the other. They are wearing white robes with blue sashes and hold a book between them. The one in front looks towards the right holding his left palm up and outward, similar to blessing and the other, behind, puts his left hand on the other's left shoulder.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust along with the house, its grounds, and the rest of contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
