Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Inigo Jones (1573 - 1652), after Sir Anthony Van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - Blackfriars 1641). A half-length portrait of a man, turned slightly to the left, head looking to the right, he has a grey beard and moustache. He wears black with a white collar and a small, black cap. The original is in the Hermitage.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust along with the house, its grounds, and the rest of the contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946
