A full-length portrait of the mother Alda Weston who married Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt. She is standing in brown dress with white collar and a black lacy shawl, looking to the left, on a balcony with a landscape extending beyond. A white marble statue of a putto is behind the balustrade on the right.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust along with the house, its grounds, and the rest of contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
