Oil painting on canvas, Alda Weston, Lady Hoare (d. 1947) in a Green Cloak by St George Hare (Limerick 1857 – London 1933), 1910. An almost full-length portrait of Lady Hoare standing in an interior, in a pale green satin dress and a dark green velvet cloak. She has her hair up and piled high, her right hand on her hip and holding a gold cane in her left hand.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust along with the house, its grounds, and the rest of contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
