Possibly the 'Landscape by Salvator Rosa' which Wiggett Chute bought in June 1845 for £2; 1880s Notes, in the Dining Room, as: "Ruins, man [sic] in armour (Salvator Rosa)"; bequeathed with The Vyne, estate and contents by Sir Charles Chute, 1st Bt (1879-1956)
