Pastel on paper (oval), Self -portrait of the Artist as a Boy by Sir Thomas Lawrence PRA (Bristol 1769 – London 1830), circa 1786. An oval half-length portrait to right, in blue coat holding a portrait drawing of a woman.
Probably 'A crayon drawing framed and glazed' in Bedroom No. 9 in the Inventory of 1842; bequeathed to the National Trust with The Vyne House and Estate by Sir Charles Chute in 1956.
