Summary
A child’s tinplate clockwork model of a luggage truck (circa 1950), with the porter mounted on the front platform with the instrument panel behind his back. The luggage which covers half the available space comprises destination labelled trunks, cages of livestock, farm produce and newspapers. Protruding from the centre of the luggage is the winding key. The truck has two axles each with two wheels, the rear axle is fixed, and between the axles there is a yellow painted bell. Wells took over Brimtoy in 1932 and became known as 'Wells Brimtoy'.
