Summary
Oil painting on canvas of Sir George Warren,KB (1735-1801), British (English) School, circa 1760-1770. A half-length portrait of a man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, in a short powdered wig, wearing a blue coat and white cravat, wearing the riband and star of the Order of the Bath. Another version at Kelmarsh Hall (unattributed).
Provenance
Acquired from 10th Lord Vernon in lieu of death-duties after the death of Francis Lawrence William Venables-Vernon, 9th Lord Vernon (1889 -1963) and transferred to the National Trust in 1967 through the National Land Fund
