Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, Maria Warner, Mrs Keating (1801-1880), British (English) School, circa 1870. A half-length potrait of the paternal great-grandmother of the Misses Keating of Plas Yn Rhiw. She is seated, to the right, facing, wearing a black dress and lace cap with a red curtain behind her.


Given as part of the Plas yn Rhiw estate to the National Trust in 1952 by the Misses Eileen (d. 1966), Lorna (d. 1981) and Mary Honora Keating in memory of their parents, John William (1854-1893) and Constance Annie Keating (1861 - 1944)
