Label on reverse--'Mrs Elizabeth Parker. Painted by Holbein,a German born in Augsberg AD1498 died 1554 aged 56 C Mans - (?)'.
1944, gifted to the National Trust by Field Marshal Sir Archibald and Lady Montgomery Massingberd.
