Thomas Sheraton (Stockton-on-Tees 1751 – 1806)
A Sheraton mahogany night commode on shaped bracket feet with four false drawers; the upper two hinged to the top as a lid to the seat. Interior with original leather upholstered seat surround and padded arm and back rest (leather missing). Two plain brass knobs to each drawer. Turned wooden cover to aperture; bowl missing.
Purchased from the Wrisdales in 2005, formerly owned by the Montgomery-Massingberds
