Oil painting on panel, Harbour Scene with Lighthouse and Barge being rowed, British School, early 19th century. A Maltese galley (kind of warship used by the Order of the Knights of Saint John with the naval red Maltese cross on white pennants, draped over the mainsails) is anchored to the left whilst the crew are rowing some officers ashore. Another boat is also heading ashore, in the middle distant, and on the right a larger sailing ship fires its gun. In the foreground on the right a fisherman sits in his boat.
