Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir Arthur Hallam Rice Elton, 10th Bt (1906-1973) by Eve Disher (1894-1991), signed and dated 1933. Portrait of the son of Sir Ambrose Elton, 9th Bt (1869-1951) and Dorothy Wyne Wiggin (1882-1957) as a young man, half-length, reading a book and resting his head on his left hand. He wears a pale brown jacket and a grey pullover, his open book is on the left and he gazes down at it. He married Margaret Ann Bjornson (1915-1995).
