Summary
A mahogany open armchair, English, circa 1760. The back with undulating toprail and pierced vase splat carved with C-scrolls, tassels and quatrefoils, the shaped arms with inswept supports and the serpentine seat raised on square moulded legs joined by stretchers.

Purchased by the National Trust from The Estate of Lord Cawley in 2001.
