Summary
A monochrome photograph of Edith Teresa Hulton (1890-1972) standing with Padre Giovanni Semeria. Teresa is dressed in a dark jacket and skirt and is wearing a white or cream hat and scarf. The Padre is dressed in a black coat and hat and has a beard. In the background is a building that has a sign attached to it saying 'Casa del Sol'. Writing below photograph: 'Padre Semeria Romans April 1917'. Photograph 206 of 227 contained in Volume 3 of Edith Teresa Hulton's personal photograph albums (1906 - 1919). 'Padre Semeria' is assumed to be Giovanni Semeria (1867-1931), an Italian orator and writer. Edith Teresa Hulton became Lady Berwick when she married Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick of Attingham (1877-1947) on 30 June 1919.
