Summary
Twenty-four items relating to coronation robes worn intially by Ellen, wife of Richard Henry Noel-Hill, 7th Baron Berwick, to the Coronation of Edward VII on 9th August 1902, which were adapted for use by Edith Teresa, Lady Berwick, wife of the 8th Baron Berwick, to wear at the Coronation of George VI on 12th May 1937. These items consist of eight satin fragments, five fragments of silk velvet, one velvet placket, two cuff pieces, one stomacher, one embroidered panel, one fragment for shoe parts, one velvet bag, one coronet, one velvet kirtle, one velvet train, and one embroidered petticoat.
