Summary
Six gold Jasped cotton pelmets and eight curtains. Mercerised cotton dyed dark and pale gold warps. Yellow cotton wefts. Warp faced satin weave. Loom width 1290 mm Vertical jasped stripe. a) gold and cream rayon braid 2.5 cm; b) gold cotton/rayon braid 18 mm; c) pale gold rayon on cotton cores four strand cable cord, two wrapped and two boucle cords. a) gold cotton satin weave; b) cotton undyed 'bump' interlining; c) dressed interlining; d) cream cotton. Hand sewn; lined and interlined throughout; cord d) at top; cord c) at two corners finished with triple knot finials top and bottom; braid a) used double in panels at front and sides. Braid b) at bottom edge. Made in England circa 1960.
