Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Interior Scene of possibly the portego of the Palazzo Donà, Venice, attributed to William Stokes Hulton (1852 – Venice 1921). A darkened empty room, lit by a row of three glazed windows, leading to a garden in the background. Shadowy figure plays a violin to the right and a second figure crouches on the floor in the centre.
