Oil painting on canvas, Birds in a Landscape by Pieter Casteels (Antwerp 1684 – Richmond 1749), signed and dated, bottom mid-right : P.Casteels [P and C interlaced] F[eci]t / 1722. Peacocks, a white pheasant, doves and poultry beside a ballustrade, with two classical temples in distance.
Attingham collection. 1913 Inventory p.64; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
