Anne, wife of the 1st Lord Berwick had three sons and three daughters. All her sons inherited the title and Thomas, seen here as a baby, became 2nd Lord Berwick at the age of 19. She was a devoted mother and left personal keepsakes to her children in her will.

A half length portrait of Anna Vernon, the Lady Berwick, daughter of Henry Vernon of Hilton, Staffordshire and Lady Henrietta Wentworth and the wife of Noel Hill, 1st Lord Berwick whom she married at St George's Church, St George Street, Hanover Square, London in 1768. She is holding her elsdest baby son in her arms, wearing a pink and green dress, a scarf over her head with hair dressed high.
Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
