Summary
19th century trencher salt (or possibly Holy water bowl?) with oval dish on waisted stand and raised back. Transfer printed in sepia tones, putti playing with birds against brown ground. Gilt Greek key and line borders. Made by the Worcester Porcelain Factory.
Provenance
Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
