Summary
Small chandelier with an up-turned cut glass bowl in a gilt metal frame, six S-scroll branches supporting glass drip pans and decorated with pendant drops. Hung from a circular dish on six gilt metal chains. Suspended from the ceiling on three chains. English manufacture between 1800 and 1999.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust in 1985 from Mrs.Webb, Blythe Cottage, The Mount, Shrewsbury, who in turn had bought it from the Mytton and Mermaid Hotel in Atcham, Shropshire, where it had been hanging. It was reputed to have formerly been hung in the Mansion at Attingham Park.
