Summary
A tea cosy made from unbleached linen. The linen outer face is decorated with satin stitch embroidery in a flower and swag motif in mauve, green, pale pink and ochre, with a twisted silk cord edging and bow in mauve and pale pink. It has a layer of scrim, a layer of wool padding and is fully lined in pale pink silk twill. A label attached to the tea cosy reads, "Made by H.M Queen Mary, and given to a Bazaar where it was purchased and given to Capt. and Mrs. R.K Healey on their wedding day. July 1909".
