Summary
A woman's evening dress, made from pale pink silk organza with a woven yellow silk stripe. The bodice has a v-shaped neckline, with diagonal pleating and yellow silk piping and with a plain pink cotton waistband. The short, puffed sleeves are decorated with pointed frills. The bodice is lined with cotton sateen, the sleeves lined with fine glazed linen and the skirt hem is lined with cotton. The dress fastens centre back with ten hooks and eyes, one missing on the waistband. A handwritten note on the inside of the waistband reads, "1820. Spence".
