A kingwood cross banded rosewood sofa table, English, circa 1795. The top with chamfered leaves above a frieze with two real and two false drawers, raised on twin trestle ends with turned spindles and splayed legs, brass paw castors and linked by a turned stretcher.
Bequest to the National Trust of tapestries, pictures, furniture and objects d'art from Sir Malcolm Stewart in 1960.
