Summary
Bottle or vase, porcelain, of pear-shape with thick elongated neck, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China, c. 1695-1715; decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a chevron band at the neck above upright plantain leaves and a repeated chevron band, four ruyi or sceptre shaped panels with stylised sprigs on a striated and wash blue ground, the foot with upright plantain leaves, and blue line bands; underside with a 'jade' symbol.
