Summary
Boxwood walking stick with ivory handle. Angular carved handle with checked pattern on top and bottom sides. At joint with stem, silver band made up of latticed silver threads. Tapering chamfered stem with brass cap with two fluted lines pinned to base. Inscribed - Walking stick perhaps 1840-50 VandA costume pl 89 Cunnington p.175 (tied label, also verso) 1840 - 1850
