One of our favourite things as chosen by our volunteer Room Guide, Myra. 'Practical, pretty, unusual and very convenient for a cup of tea by the fire.'
A rosewood fire screen, English, circa 1860. The glazed cartouche-shaped panel with pale yellow silk floral needlework, standing on a half-round lobed table top and raised on a spiral-twist column with tripod base of hipped and arched legs applied with roundels.
