Summary
Oil painting on canvas, King Charles I (1600-1649,) after Sir Anthony Van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - London 1641). Half-length portrait of King Charles I, he is looking towards the left. He is dressed in armour and has a chain around his neck. He has shoulder-length dark hair, a moustache and a beard. Possibly sitting in front of a patterned curtain. A reduced copy of the portrait in the collection of the Duke of Norfolk at Arundel Castle, Sussex. In a carved 18th Century frame that forms part of a set of five identical frames.
